Do you have a retail store I can visit?
We do not have a retail location, but we do have a certified commercial bakery. We operate by appointment only. Please call us at 208.850.7450 with comments, questions or special orders.
How can I order a cake?
We take cake orders by appointment only. Please call us at 208.850.7450 or send an e-mail to info@cakesbyjeanette.com to schedule an appointment. Please be sure to indicate the date of your event, how many people will be attending and the preferred time for your appointment.
How much notice do you need for a special order?
Two weeks is preferred for most special orders, but particularly large or complicated orders require extra time. For weddings please allow a minimum of three-four weeks. However, we only take a certain number of wedding cakes each weekend, so it is recommended that you reserve your date as far in advance as possible.
How much do your cakes cost?
Cakes start at $3.50 per slice for butter cream and the price will vary according to decorations.
Do you deliver?
We do not charge a delivery fee in Boise. A minimum of a $15 delivery charge will be assessed if you are outside this area. If you prefer, you can pick-up your cake in person by appointment.
Do you do photo transfer cakes?
Yes, please provide a high resolution image 7 days in advance of your pickup date.
Do you make cupcakes?
Yes, we make vanilla, chocolate, 24k carrot and red velvet cupcakes. Cupcakes can be topped with any type of buttercream or whipped topping and a simple decoration of your choice.
Should I keep my cake refrigerated?
Yes, we recommend refrigeration if the cake isn’t going to be served within a few hours. If it is not possible, buttercream will stay nice unless it is an exceptionally very hot day. In which case we suggest refrigerating until 30 minutes prior to your event. Whipped topping cakes should be refrigerated until 30 minutes prior to serving.
