Still Loving it after 40 Years

Cakes by Jeanette began in 1968 as I was “nominated and elected” by my children to be the official baker for their birthdays, Little League teams, baseball teams, volleyball teams and so forth.  Anniversaries, baby showers, retirements, graduations and other cake categories began to round out the offerings.  This loved hobby quickly became a primary source of income as quality cakes and “word of mouth” spread my reputation.  Now, 43 years, later the business has stretched ahead. I credit much of my success from taking classes offered by the major suppliers in the baking industry as well as many hours as an apprentice and friend to one of California’s premier bakers.

I work out of my bakery located behind my home and am proud to announce that we have received a perfect score from Central District Health Department for the last 10 years. That means we have met all standards for cleanliness, equipment and other specifications required for food handling.  According to our inspector, he knows of no other business with that stellar of a reputation!
